Buckle the fuckle up, this one's a long one, folks.

Holy moly. So. I was up all night keeping an eye on BBC and CNN for coverage of the the 8.8 earthquake near Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula and the resultant tsunami advisories around the world. Happily it looks like there has been nothing super serious as far as damage or people being hurt but I know it was a long night for a lot of people (and continues to be in a few parts of the world still).

In other news, man it is just too dang hot to go outside for more than a few minutes right now. We've been under heat advisory after heat advisory, and Tampa hit 100°F for the first time ever a few days ago.

But global warming is boloney, amirite guys? :P

Art Fight 2025 is wrapping up; just one more day after today to finish up attacks. I've gotten three bracelets (with Perler [fuse bead] charms!) done so far (I had a really hard time getting started this year). I've got charms for two more bracelets done, but I think those two bracelets are as much as I'm going to get done this year sadly. I feel like a heel, because I got 21 attacks this year as of this writing, but I guess there's always next year to revenge people.

I keep trying to sit at my desk again (I've been on my bed for a couple months, which I know is not very healthy), but my back just won't accept it, which is a problem since I can't really work on beading stuff while laying on my bed. After just two days of sitting at my desk this week, though, my back was so bad I could barely move around from the substantial pain. Like actually crying out kinda pain. I really need to get my new doctor to send me to a specialist or something because this is unacceptable. Maybe physical therapy? I don't know. I know my weight is contributing to the back pain but I've been told I have arthritis in my back, and it's just gotten so bad recently.

I also recently watched Kpop Demon Hunters, and I have a lil' review that I'll post in a separate entry. (Long story short: aaaaaaaaaaa!!)

Oh I've also gotten a few cookbooks recently: The Official Stardew Valley Cookbook (awesome!), the Hocus Pocus Official Cookbook (awesome!), and the The Official Five Nights at Freddy's Cookbook: An AFK Book (probably terribad but I needed it on my shelf). I have officially started my cookbook collection that I've wanted for years! :D

Speaking of recipes, I added a new sticker (Bitty, the mascot from the 32-Bit Cafe) to my handwritten book of personal recipes.

A couple months back I won a raffle for a custom leather collar, like a furry fandom type thing. I didn't really think I'd win and was mostly reposting to support the artist, High Coyote Leather, but I won! I got it in the mail a couple days ago.

It's absolutely gorgeous and so well-made, too. I'm unsure when/where I'll wear it out. I guess I need to see if there's any furry conventions near me! And get some new cat ears, lol.

In the meantime it's on display in my room. 😊

I also may have purchased a pack of self-adhesive googly eyes of different sizes. For stuff. Hehehehe. >_>
