😔
A few minutes after finding this notification, I discovered an Amazon app text from my Amazon drive. He asked how to 'access my house'
Okay, there's construction (repaving the road) but you can still get to my house, as five Walmart deliveries (they broke up my two orders 🙄 ) and another Amazon driver (they broke up that order too) have found my house just fine in the past two days. 😒
But I missed the text so now I don't have my FNAF cookbook until tomorrow. Boo.
But then.
Then one of the construction workers working on said repaving project came to my door and asked me to pull 'my' car up farther in the driveway because despite being in the driveway, it was apparently in their way and they were going to tow it from our own driveway if I didn't move it. It's my roommate's car, she's on a cruise, and I haven't been behind the wheel in 10 years.
Nevertheless, faced with the alternative (that is to say, being towed and having like five days of storage fees on top of the towing fine), I found her spare keys and moved the car.
So long story short I almost ran over the shrubs.
But the car is moved, the guy was satisfied, and they're getting on with paving our street.
What a freaking afternoon this has been.
Edit: Oh hey! Amazon just called me (it ID'ed as a robo call so I didn't answer the first time, but they called back). They're gonna try again later! I might get my book today after all! Yay! 🥳
